Rafa Jenn unveils Fashionista at Madelife in his return to the theme of fashion. Having previously released a limited-edition print with that very title (2008), this time he has chosen to explore the subject in a series of 12 mixed-media drawings.

A new set of 25 Pinups will be unveiled at Crema in Denver. The opening reception is on May the 2nd, from 7 – 10pm. The show runs through June 4th. This series employs a new style which implements ink, color pencil, and watercolor.

Curated by Plus Gallery’s Ivar Zeile, this exhibition celebrates the USA Pro Cycling Challenge— the largest spectator event in Colorado history. The event has been hailed as the most important bike race on US soil, which has drawn pro cyclists from twelve different countries, including Ivan Basso, the Schleck brothers, and 2011 Tour de France winner Cadel Evans. Representative of the twelve participating countries, twelve modified Cannondale bicycles will be on display on the tops of baggage-claim carousels at the Denver International Airport. For his part, Rafa has been asked to represent the country of Spain.
The global fine-paper company, Sappi, recently produced a promotional booklet championing their high quality paper, Opus. Designed by Stoyan Design, the booklet showcases six illustrations by Rafa Jenn. A unique feature of these Mandalas is the implementation of ornate embossing.
