This work is based upon the most emblematic of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. On it's own, the image evokes notions of a death-obsessed culture, of symbolism made manifest, and an enduring confoundment of technical accomplishment. "Meanwhile" implements a minimalist on/off pattern that relies on the viewer's mind to achieve completion. An added visual rhyme is the concordance of the 45-degree pattern with that of the pyramids' slope. The title refers to the enduring ever-presence of these veritable giants that have loomed over the comings-and-goings of mankind for over 4500 years.
